When I started training with Zach, I had a little bit of exercise and a little bit of food knowledge under my belt. Like most amateur runners, I figured it was as simple as eating food that tasted just okay and then putting one foot in front of the other. When we started training together, his routines changed the game completely. He incorporated a strength training with my rigorous running schedule, gave me solid, science based nutrition advice, and kept my body healthy through a 3 month half marathon training program. By the time I hit race day, I had dropped fat, gained muscle, and ran a 1:55 min half marathon, which was a solid 15 minutes ahead of my goal pace.
